Compensating Cables for High-Temperature Thermocouples

Due to the extreme brittleness of the thermocouple conductors there are no extension cables available for the high-temperature thermocouples made of wolfram/rhenium alloys. Compensating cables are therefore always used. For these special cables no standard regarding the permissible deviations is available. The cables offered by us have a permissible deviation of +/- 50 μV (this corresponds to +/- 3.5 K at a measuring temperature of 2000 °C) at an ambient temperature between 0 and 100 °C.
